Morgan Orndorff Dies at 93 in DeWitt
Morgan Orndorff aged 93 of DeWitt died Thursday in Low Moor Nursing Home after four months of ill health. Funeral service was Monday at McGinnis Funeral Home, with Rev. E A Piper officiating and burial in Elmwood Cemetery. He was born December 1, 1870 in Scott County and married Martha Walrod in 1897. Surviving are three daughters, one grandchild and three great grandchildren.

The Elvira Rustlers 4-H club held its annual tour on June 21 starting with a noon potluck at the Harry Hansen farm. A short business meeting followed, with visits to farms including Bob Bergmann, Bill Berner, the Fatchett family, Hansen families, Mommsen, Stolk, Stuedemann, Wing, Munck, the Spain trio, Seam er, Soli, and Stamp. A hog weight guess contest was held at Walter Stuedemann’s and a steer weight guess at the Mommsen farm.
