Devils Lake business leaders meet to discuss recon struction of the Pelican point bridge with a goal of raising 1000 to fund a usable channel across the lake. Speakers note boosts to trade from reservation lands and regional towns, urging quick action and a three‑member fundraising committee.
The gathering showed strong support for advancing the movement. President Bangs appointed a soliciting committee to report in one week, including Chas Baker W D Jones and M P Neff. Scrugard urged attention to flooded wet season access roads and city approaches to be addressed by the club with town supervisors.
