Six Indictments From Grand Jury Hit Chiropractors

The grand jury, excused by Judge Buttz until Nov. 27, returned indictments in six cases including State vs. Thos Slutz, Gee Cham bers, Henry Enemoto, A D Tuttle, G K Lindahl and Matt Jampsa, with Lindahl charged for liquor law violations. Seven cases against practicing chiropractors have started in this state, but no convictions yet. A separate ad notes sale of a spinplano contract and other local notices amid mentions of child labor in cotton fields and a broad pretrial context.

Contempt charges loom for Cooperators Herald editors

A M Baker manager and George L Nelson editor of the Cooperators Herald were taken to Bismarck by Sheriff Frank Barnes on a bench warrant for contempt of court. They face possible sentences unless they can show cause before the supreme court regarding an article accusing the court of a frameup in the tax levy case.
