Whipple and Baird promote farming in North Dakota praising the rich loam of their land. They own about 4,000 acres and farm most of it yearly posting 25,200 bushels of wheat 18,844 bushels of flax 11,835 bushels of burley and 4,100 bushels of oats worth over $10 per acre on land bought a few years ago for about $6 per acre.
Clark W. Kelley buys Captain E. E. Heerman’s residence on Third Street and Hill Avenue and plans to stay in Devils Lake this winter. Heerman contemplates future moves after disposing of local and county property interests.
