A plant in the cellar beneath the bath room will gain extra warmth. Bath tubs and fixtures were bought from J. F. Murphy & Co., touted as the best on the market. When improvements finish, Mr. Rawson will enjoy one of the city's coziest places.
By invitation of the Cando Bowling club the Devils of Devils Lake traveled to Cando and won three games by a total of 352 pins. They faced a strange alley handicap yet outscored their opponents at every turn and praised the hosts for their hospitality. A return match is planned at the Goldberg and Kain alley here. Final scores show Devils Lake totals 2100 with a team average of 140.

Butte Montana November 6 A blast and fire struck the Kearsarge mine shaft and boiler house at Virginia City today. The bodies of Superintendent Turner and seven men have been recovered. About seventy five miners remain trapped and may have perished.
In Cavalier County the William Barry murder case stalls as juror pools lag. A second venire was summoned with exams looming, while Ontario relatives arrive. Barry remains outwardly hopeful despite the slow progress and difficulty securing a jury.
Geo H Fannan a box car grocer selling adulterated food to farmers was brought before Judge Ball on a charge of selling unwholesome Climax Drips containing coal tar. He pleaded guilty and paid a total of 15 dollars 10 cents in fines and costs.
Grand Forks November meeting of the executive committee decides to affiliate with the National Editorial Association. Seven members named as delegates to the St Louis national meeting in May. Two editorial trips planned one to St Louis and another to Old Mexico. A member poll by mail will follow. This afternoon press boys enjoyed a carriage drive and evening events include a Metropolitan opera house visit.
Winter inventory clearance offers house plants at less than half price until November 25 at P. J. Kersten's greenhouse. Towers for table decor are included.
