On February 8, 1903, a mortgage was recorded securing $375 to First National Bank of Devils Lake. The collateral includes crops sown on specified land tracts in 1902 and several horses: two bay geldings ages five and six, a nine-year-old carrel gelding, and a 1 100 pound weight horse.
