Republicans Meet in Devils Lake Nominate for Legislature
Republican county convention at Devils Lake set 2:30 PM Saturday to nominate three candidates for the state legislature. Col. Creel, H. M. Creel, and Judge Cowan led the debate with Creel named in nomination by supporters and Hansbrough forces securing a solid majority for the ticket. Delegates from numerous townships were announced, and the convention adjourned after selecting delegates to the state convention with a vote that preserved party unity though contest persisted.
