Tragic Drowning Of Hampden Baby Girl Near Slough
Sunday afternoon in Hampden a two year old girl, child of Mr and Mrs Minois, accidentally drowned near a slough as the mother went to church. The child wandered from the father or hired man, followed the mother’s route, and attempting to cross the slough waded into water and drowned. The alarm rang after the child’s absence was noticed and search began. the body was recovered within hours.
