Drowned at Chautauqua Grounds Ulysses Crary
Ulysses Crary, youngest son of Mr and Mrs John Crary, drowned Friday while bathing on the Chautauqua grounds. His cork life preserver strap broke as he drifted beyond his depth. Three doctors treated him for about ninety minutes but he died. The funeral followed at ten oclock the next morning with the mother greatly affected by grief and unable to attend. The family resided at Derila Take, 160 acres with cultivation and other details noted in the report.
