Farmers Mill Assured A New Local Milling and Elevator venture
The Farmers' Mill and Elevator association of this city is organized and buying land between Eighth and Ninth streets on the farmers railroad for a 100 barrel flour mill and a 50 000 to 60 000 bushel elevator. The project aims to keep grain profits local and prevent excessive shipping costs by producing flour locally. Sales and subscriptions are open, with both facilities operated separately but owned by the same group. The plan promises economic benefits to farmers and merchants alike by reducing freight and boosting local trade.
