Verdict by Ramsey jury on Gallagher death

The Ramsey county North Dakota inquest into David Gallagher who died after being struck by an engine on the Great Northern railway at Devils Lake on December 26 1908 concluded without assigning fault. The jurors signed the inquest record on the January 31 1910 ceremony before Coroner Edward Gilbertson.

Funeral Fatality From Lifting Heavy Radiator

H W Fitzgerald ruptured a blood vessel in his brain while loading a heavy radiator onto a dray on Friday afternoon. He was taken to Mercy hospital where medical efforts failed to save him.

Funeral Held After Peaceful Passing

The deceased died Saturday morning after a peaceful illness. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. T. A. Olsen. The deceased leaves a wife and a large family of children.

Excellent Concert by Devils Lake Band at Grand Opera House

The Devils Lake band under Prof W F Cramer gave a well received concert Monday evening at the Grand opera house. Twenty four musicians performed a varied program including the Poet and Peasant overture which drew high praise for its mastery. A large audience attended followed by a dance in the opera house ballroom with music by the combined Devils Lake and Grand theatre orchestras. Proceeds benefit the band as it meets expenses. funds are still needed.
