New Cable for Pacific Links US and Hawaii
The submarine telegraph cable to join the United States with Hawaii and then the Philippines has been completed and loaded on the cable steamer Silvertown. It sails to San Francisco to start laying toward Honolulu with two more steamers Colonia and Anglia handling the Pacific leg.
