A local shop announces a Christmas line of Vincy Mar tin hand painted goods finished in mahogany. Included items feature tea tables music cabinets ladies desks and similar pieces. The merchandise is described as highly beautiful and valuable yet priced within reach of all shoppers.
City council met in regular session Monday evening in city hall. Mayor Whitman presided with Hodgkinson and Sainard on the council committee. A resolution declaring the school part of the city was passed. The dynamite ordinance was tabled to the next session. The improvement company faced criticism over the fire whistle and was ordered to replace it. Watering troughs discussion ended with a satisfactory adjustment between council and company.
A good many North Dakotans will take advantage of the low railroad rates during November and December and return to their old homes in the central states for a long winter visit.

Mayville Normal reports Miss Dela Place visited her sister at the Normal last week. Miss I Wallace of 05 attended the YWCA convention at Fargo. A very interesting program was given by Key society Friday evening. The society vetted the school last week and there is an unusually large attendance this year despite the end of the terms.
Term nears as many new students arrive. Prof White of Lisbon joins the faculty and will oversee athletics and coach the teams.
