The State Federation of Clubs meets in Devils Lake October 10 to 13 with a four day program. Officers and committees need only attend the morning of day one. sessions cover board meetings, committee conferences, reports, ballots, and a president’s address. Delegates arrive mainly noon or later on October 10.

About seventy five singles attended at the opera house hall lavishly decorated with greenery and flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Fenelon acted as chaperones and dancing continued late. Miss Fenelon, known for her fine voice, sang several solos before leaving soon for Notre Dame in Baltimore to study this year.
Judge Witten opened Fort Berthold Indian reservation registration drawing a crowd of four to five hundred in scorching heat. First to register was Joseph Labrum of Ogden Utah, second Louis Glazer of Minot, with Mrs Chloe Truax of Minot the oldest registrant at 72. The Westerman of St Louis won the free woman registrant.
Grand Forks Aug 10 It now seems probable that North Dakota will see extensive railway building in the near future by the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul system The line would run from Fargo through Grand Forks to Winnipeg and tie into plans to upgrade the Manitoba division of the Northern Pacific for higher traffic after the Reciprocity Treaty.

Hanna proposes an amendment to include Devils Lake land district when the bill is considered.
State Treasurer Gunder Olson told the Bismarck Tribune he favors beautifying the Capitol grounds to reflect North Dakota as more than prairie. He said the site’s natural adaptability is excellent and only needs thoughtful development to impress visitors. Miss Winnie Bucklin, former Carnegie librarian, visited town en route to Redfield S. D. She praised Miss Anna Spring’s library, plans to organize a Carnegie library in Minot in October.
North Dakota will take 3500 square feet of space at the St Paul land show December 12 to 23, with seven states represented. The exhibit, managed by the Northwestern Development League, aims to be an official state exhibit without private enterprise influence and will feature North Dakota officers John Bruegger and K Sarl es as contacts for space and inquiries.
