Brutal murder shocks city as Nick Nachtsheim slain
Nick Nachtsheim is found decapitated in his cellar ten days after his disappearance. A laborer named Hans Allworth discovered the body and a coroner’s inquest began to untangle the bloody case with a revolver missing a chamber and an ax found nearby. Nachtsheim, 55, a St Paul immigrant with a Rolla claim, is buried after Catholic rites.
