Former Resident John Miller Dies in Shawnee Parish
John Miller of Shawnee Niagara county died suddenly at 82 from heart disease. Born June 26 1822 in Berwickshire Scotland he came to America 1851 and settled near Lockport, moving to Shawnee two years later. He lived in the same house over fifty years and never employed a physician. Survived by three daughters Mrs Watts Shawnee NY Mrs Barton Larimore ND Mrs Miller Devils Lake and one son Thomas Miller Tonawanda NY. He had lived with his daughter in Devils Lake from 1891 to 1893 and had many local friends.
