Farewell to Finley Chisholm Elderly Community Helper
Finley Chisholm, longtime Sweetwater resident born in Missouri, died at 50 after Brights disease. He moved to Devils Lake area in 1882, raised ten children, and was famed for aid to neighbors. Funeral at St Josephs church followed by burial in St Joseph cemetery. Chautauqua Homestead Yeoman chapter issued resolutions praising him as a good citizen and caring husband and father.

Holy Week Services Planned at Church of the Advent
During the last week of Lent Evening Prayer will be held Monday through Friday at 7 30. Maundy Thursday April 12 includes Holy Communion with Evening Prayer. Good Friday April 13 offers a Litany at 10 am and Three Hours of Prayer from 12 to 3 pm. Easter Sunday April 15 features Morning Prayer and Holy Communion at 11, a 4 pm Children’s Service, and an Afternoon Children's Lenten Offering presentation with special music for the Queen of Festivals.
