Hutto backs FAA hub station in Northwest Florida
Congressman Earl Hutto met FAA representatives to push a centralized AFSS hub in Northwest Florida and to oppose closing local flight service stations. He favored a site at a major airport with capacity for many general aviation fliers, noting military traffic in the area. FAA will brief on Sept 15 in Tallahassee about leasing space for the hub, with final site choice expected November 1984.
