Utilities Clash Over Study Funds for Regional Authority
A regional sewage and solid waste study faces funding roadblocks as 15 Walton Okaloosa and Santa Rosa utilities discuss a 65 000 donor goal. Only five firms have been asked to contribute 13 000 each over two years, with others urged to conceptually approve. Debate centers on fairness and who pays while a temporary chair plans a joint meeting to resolve the split. The study aims to map disposal options through 2010.
