Okaloosa County commissioners on Tuesday amended an ordinance to require permits for major paving projects. The county engineer Dave Heinrich will review drainage requirements, while small areas like residential driveways are exempt. Collier Houston notes the change targets larger projects to control drainage.
Coast Guard officials told Destin station to keep gathering boat traffic data through Labor Day to assess the proposed safe anchorage.
