Migrating Birds Draw Florida Birdwatchers This Fall
Florida observers are urged to watch migrating birds from mid August to late October as shorebirds pass through and songbirds and hawks take to the skies. Nongame biologist Jim Cox notes birds move with arctic front winds and backyards can attract migrants with food and water. Night viewing and field guides help novices, with many species duller out of breeding season and returning in spring.
