Bus shelter plan delays after Destin owner objections
Destin resident Pete Vasso faced opposition from a neighbor over a proposed eight by sixteen foot concrete bus shelter on a county right of way at Benning Drive and Kelly Street. Okaloosa County Commissioners tabled approval until adjoining property issues are resolved. Vasso aims to fund the shelter with donations for Destin Elementary School students, with plans to build across from his home and maintain a vandal resistant, low maintenance structure.
