Residents oppose Dixon compaction center near Santa Rosa Bay
In a letter from Opus Minor and neighbors, local residents urge county commissioners to reject permits for a private garbage compaction center proposed by Mr. Dixon. They warn of increased truck traffic, road wear, spills, and higher taxes, arguing the 20 acre site is flood prone and near homes and tourism. They call for a county owned facility and a broader study before proceeding.
