At 3 p m today Destin hosts a wine relay race to benefit the Destin Search and Recovery Team. Pier 98 may field the winning team again as competitors vie for a cash prize and an impressively titled trophy from First National Bank of Destin. entry is $100 per four person team with proceeds aiding the search and recovery unit.

The Destin festival continues with oyster shucking at 4 p.m. Sunday and a weekend lineup of rock country gospel and bluegrass entertainment. The 36th Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo runs all October with more than $90,000 in prizes for anglers.

Runners Ready To Go In LOGs Fifth Rodeo Run
The Fifth Annual Destin LOG Rodeo Run 10-K starts at 8 a.m. at Clement Taylor Park with as many as 300 runners from across the region. Defending champ Gary Croze faces a strong field on the certified 6.2 mile course, aiming to break last year’s 31 42 record while challengers from Atlanta Alabama and Mississippi join local runners.
