Brunson Wins Okaloosa District 3 Runoff Nomination
Baker businessman Sam Brunson won the Democratic nomination for Okaloosa County Commission District 3 after ousting incumbent Hugh Adams by over 1,500 votes in the county runoff. Destin voters favored Brunson, with a countywide tally of 4,819 to Adams 3,245. Brunson had campaigned across Laurel Hill to Destin, meeting residents about local issues. He will face Republican Al Grant in the November general election.
