State probe clears docks on Destin Harbor after discovery of leases
State official says most harbor businesses now comply with after the fact submerged land lease requirements following an investigation by the Department of Natural Resources. Several firms including Friendship Charter Sailing and Destin Yachts were found to have docks and buildings over state submerged lands without proper leases, but many admit ignorance of the rule.
