Kiwanis Santa Auction Supports Okaloosa Children
Kiwanis Playground Area chapter hosts its 4th annual auction on November 15 at 10 a.m. in Choctawhatchee High School to aid county children in need. Donations including an automobile, boat, TVs, furniture, and more attract bids, with pickup offered by calling 862-9241 or 244-3306. Proceeds fund Boy Scout troops, a Girl Scout troop, a college scholarship, Special Olympics, and other handicapped-children programs.

Gold Star Wives to Charter Emerald Coast Chapter in Niceville
Gold Star Wives of America Emerald Coast Chapter will receive its charter at a Saturday meeting on November 15 at the Disabled American Veterans Hall in Niceville Florida. A December 6 covered dish meeting at DeFuniak Springs will precede a carpool gathering from the DAV building. President Jo Dove, Shirley Eari and Otto Zachow plan to attend the 40th National Veterans Day Ceremony in Birmingham Alabama with the luncheon broadcast on world wide TV.
