Arts Center Chooses Bayfront Site For New Facility
Karen MacGrogan reports that a 12 to 15 acre bayfront site on Choctawhatchee Bay near Indian Bayou will host the Mattie M. Kelly Fine Arts Center. The land is donated by Mrs. Kelly and family with county road access planned. If federal grants are elusive, funds will be sought through other channels. The second annual center ball attracts about 400 guests at Sandestin, with plans to “warm the lot” and finalize a construction timetable.
