Fire Election Set For Dec 14 In Destin
County Judge Mike Jones said a new election for the Destin Fire Commission is proposed for December 14 after a voting machine malfunction in the November 2 race. Eight candidates were reported, but Hardy LeBel pulled out, though his name may remain on the ballot. Jay Dunlap and Bill O Connor urged voters to support progress with fresh candidates as the canvassing board prepares objections if needed.
