The Historical Museum in Valparaiso announces a Christmas Bazaar Friday through Sunday November 9 to 11 at 115 Westview Ave. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event features handcrafted gifts, calendars, notepapers, and a chalked lineup of drawings by Helen Blair and Darci Mandigo, plus a new exhibit of Civil War to present military hats from Randy Williams’ private collection. The museum, run by the Friends of the Historical Museum, also hosts a free daily exhibit open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Destin Library will hold an Open House Saturday November 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. as a kickoff for Children’s Book Week November 12 to 18. Destin and South Walton children and parents are invited to the library for refreshments and to enjoy the library’s dolls exhibit. Passes to Fort Walton Skating Center will be distributed.
