Banks Offer Low Interest Home Loans in Panhandle

Four banks and lenders led by First National Bank of Destin will distribute 7.6 million dollars in bond financed low interest mortgages in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The Housing Finance Agency says 65 million in bonds were issued statewide with 7 plus million allocated to Panhandle lenders. Applicants must meet income and price limits and a random drawing may decide loan awards if demand exceeds funds.
