Destin Rodeo ends with boatloads of records and rewards
The 34th Annual Destin Rodeo closed with strong weights and several records. Allen C. Miller of Chattanooga shattered the Warsaw division with 312 pounds 6 ounces aboard Melanie Dawn, and Fred Wimmer of Memphis won $2,000 for an 89-pound 12-ounce Amberjack aboard Restless Wind. Officials praised volunteers and noted a busy finish despite weather delays and the flu sidelining weighmaster Bill Sherman.
