Jack Nicklaus adopts a new diet to stay healthy and win. He has altered his eating to avoid meat fats and eggs, subscribing to dietary theories from Dr. Robert Haas as he aims to recapture top form after a long winning drought since Memorial.
Nicklaus has dropped weight to 177 pounds and undergone a major swing change under Jack Grout focusing on his right elbow after a six hour practice session. He notes nerves only arise when technique is unclear and remains confident about competing again.
The 9th annual Hog's Breath Hobie Regatta will occur today and Sunday at Gulf Island National Seashore Park on Okaloosa Island with over 200 boats across 10 classes including Hobie 18A 18B 16A 16B 16C 16N Turbo 14A B and 14A 14B. Racing starts Saturday at 12 p.m. on Choctawhatchee Bay with three races and two more on Sunday at 10 a.m. Entry fees are 20 for two‑man boats and 14 for single‑handers, covering shirts trophies and weekend refreshments. Event sponsored by Hog's Breath Saloon Fort Walton Beach.
Blake Bouldin earned the high point trophy for 10 and under boys at Huntsville Alabama’s Ninth Annual Space City Classic with eight first place finishes and nine personal bests in events including 200 meter I M 50 free and 200 free. Mark Bouldin, in his first long course meet, placed in four of five events in the eight and under division with top eight finishes. The brothers train daily with their father Ken Bouldin and look to a winning summer.
