FHP Seeks Voluntary Seat Belt Compliance Program
The Florida Highway Patrol with the Bureau of Public Safety Management will roll out a statewide voluntary seat belt program. Seventeen FHP Public Information Officers will be trained at the FHP Academy to train corporate and local government personnel who opt in. Col. Burkett says the goal is to save lives through education and awareness. The program precedes All American Buckle-up Week May 23 30 1985.
