Destin DCBA seeks associate members to aid fishing industry
The Destin Charter Boat Association invites Destin area businesses and citizens to join as associate members to support the sport fishing industry. With 76 charter boats and many private boats, fishing supports about 10 percent of Destin’s population. Estimates claim 82,000 anglers visit during an eight month season, spending around 200 dollars each, totaling over 16 million yearly. The DCBA stresses industry impact on local businesses and warns proposed regulations could hurt sportsfishing from Panama City to Pensacola. Associate membership costs 35 dollars with a window sticker and updates on industry problems. Contact Jim Cole at 904 837 0919 or P O Box 845 Destin FL 32541.
