Beach Bash Marks Henderson Beach State Park Dedication
More than 3,500 people are expected for the formal dedication of Henderson Beach State Recreation Area, hailed as a milestone for northwest Florida. Gov. Bob Graham and state officials will attend, with events starting at 1:30 p.m. and a 2 p.m. beach party. He notes nearby property owners may air concerns at hearings, while he predicts no immediate drop in adjacent property values.

Some fear missing beachgoers’ space while others point to theft of existing signs as a problem. County officials weigh ordinance and sign replacement as safeguards.
