Dancers Hold Heart Benefit At Holiday Inn Okaloosa Island

A Saturday fundraising event titled Dance for Heart gathers 100 plus dancers at the Holiday Inn on Okaloosa Island to support the American Heart Association through pledges, with YMCA Dynamic Aerobics Bodyline and Nationwide Health Spa sponsors. The public is invited to view aerobic dance demonstrations and health programs while funds support research education and community services.

Bluewater Lions Help Paraplegic

Bluewater Bay Lions Club aids David Van Lieres, a paraplegic boy, by securing special glasses from Eyeware Unlimited and obtaining a surplus hospital bed from Eglin Hospital. Lion Jim Dunn and Lt. Col. Mike Neuland coordinated eye care and bedding, delivering the adjustable bed to the family to improve his comfort and mobility.
