East Pass Murder Trial Underway
A St. Petersburg man, Anthony Eugene Thomasson, stands trial for first degree murder in the death of Stephanie Sue Stein, whose body was found in East Pass July 13. Grass expert in the Panhandle honors a junior high student
Hugh Wolfgang a Ruckel Junior High ninth grader and son of Tropipines Plant Paradise owners earned a Grand Award and an Okaloosa Walton Junior College scholarship for his science project on The Cold hardiness of Grasses Commonly Utilized in the Florida Panhandle. He studied eight grasses and conducted eight growth and freeze tests in a six month period, despite spina bifida. He will attend the State Science Fair in Bradenton and the International Fair in San Juan with other award winners and his father will accompany him.
