Eglin To Be First Unit For New F-15

The 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing will receive the first Air Force version of the MSIP F-15 Eagle, delivered Friday after a June 20 St. Louis rollout. McDonnell Douglas adds MSIP upgrades including a faster central computer, digital armament control, Hughes APG-70 radar, and enhanced ECM. About 80 MSIP Eagles are planned for the 33rd TFW through 1987, with retrofits to existing jets.

Destin Faces First Lawsuit Over Variance Issue

Holiday Isle property owners Robert and Carole Pettit sue the City of Destin claiming illegal approval of a 10 foot side setback variance and building permit for Island House Condominium on 638 Gulfshore Drive. The suit names Okaloosa County, its Planning and Zoning Administrator Bill Zell, and M B Investments Inc. as defendants.
