Senior citizens may call Florence Saks at 837-3891 for a ride to the Crestview country store. The van and cars will be at the IGA on June 23 departing 8 30 a m riders should arrive early. Arts and Crafts Show plans list Ateh Crowson Mike Jones and Joyce McInnis as organizers.
The Gulf Coast Democratic Club convenes its regular monthly meeting on Monday June 20 at 7 30 p m in the school administration building Lowery Place Fort Walton Beach. Guest speaker will be Mr Bill Peebles chairman of the Okaloosa County Commissioners. The public is invited.
The Fort Walton Beach Art Museum Association hosts a Fine Arts and Crafts Show at the Destin Shores Shopping Center on June 25 26. Exhibit hours are 9am 6pm Saturday and 1 6pm Sunday. Visitors can register for hand crafted items donated by Bob Shanklin with door prizes awarded after the show.
The annual Okaloosa Extension Homemakers Council Country Store will be held Thursday June 23 at the Agricultural Center on Old Bethel Road west of Crestview. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. or once merchandise runs out. Newcomer Harvey Davidson will offer handmade white oak baskets along with bargains on collectibles, crafts, books, plants, vegetables, records, appliances. Pensacola Fort Walton Beach and Crestview artists will display art. A salad bar with sandwiches sweets drinks and ice cream will be served.
The National Conservatory Theatre of Florida sponsors a July series of theatre workshops in Seaside and Brooks Beat Center. Sundays in South Walton feature sessions taught by Diana Carter, Gary L. Anderson, and Sherri Herrera on dance introduction, auditions, and beginner acting with theater history. Registration June 18 19 25 26 at Seaside 2 to 4 p.m. and at Brooks Beat Center 5 to 7 p.m. Call 351-3532 after 5 p.m.
