State Issues Sulfite Ruling to Inform Consumers at Stores
Commissioner Doyle Conner issues a consumer right to know rule requiring conspicuous labeling of sulfiting agents on fruits and vegetables in retail stores. Effective June 18, the regulation aims to aid shoppers, especially asthmatics, by identifying sulfite treated produce.
