Back Door Bandit Strikes Destin Bank Again
The Destin branch of the First National Bank of Okaloosa County was robbed at gunpoint for the second time Friday at about 3:50 p.m. The lone gunman, dubbed the back door bandit, entered via the rear entrance, forced customers and staff to the floor, and fled on foot. Investigators describe the weapon as a sawed off rifle or assault rifle. Damages led to security upgrades, including an armed guard. No injuries were reported.
