Coast Guard Report Highlights From Destin Area Crisis
The Coast Guard records multiple incidents across July 10 to July 17 near Destin and East Pass. Disabled vessels include Cool Breeze, Nancy Dee, Unwinder, and others, with towings to Destin Marina and East Pass areas. A cardiac arrest aboard Miss Diana led to hospital transport for Irvin Jose of Bainbridge, GA. A Hobie Cat capsized near Inlet Reef, and a July 16 FMP boat was towed after a disablement in Santa Rosa Sound. A fire on Niceville’s Gulf Queen was halted when owner burned the vessel.
