Existing-home sales stay above 3 million in May 1985
The National Association of Realtors reports a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.01 million existing single family home sales in May, down 1.0% from April but up 1.3% from May 1984. The Northeast leads price gains with a 13.3% year over year rise to 88,500, while the West shows a 3.5% May decline to 92,400.
