New Redfish Rule Extends Size Limit statewide
Florida governor and Cabinet approve an MFC recommendation to extend the 18 inch minimum size for Redfish to all state waters including the Panhandle. The rule bans harvest in March and April, requires whole condition landings, bans treble hooks with natural bait, and preserves the one fish 32 inches or longer possession. A 90 day emergency moratorium ends Feb 4 with fishing resuming Feb 5, while legal challenges continue.
