County urged to ban glass beer bottles on beaches
Waterways Advisory Committee urged county action to ban the sale of bottled beer to curb broken glass litter on Okaloosa County beaches. The panel noted existing glass restrictions do not stop bottle litter on shores and favored contacting distributors to push canned beer only. The committee also sought endorsements from local chambers and updated No Wake sign plans and Reef No. 5 expansion near Destin.
