City retirement plan debate and drainage talks in Destin
Destin city employees weigh removing from Social Security and boosting an alternative retirement plan contribution while a permanent retirement program is drafted. A drainage dispute with Sandre Martino is discussed with developer Al Brown, who asserts responsibility lies with local topography and notes on-site stormwater retention. Two meetings are slated next week, including a public works panel on U.S. 98 lighting, utilities ordinance drafts, and new development cleansing rules.
