Insurance policy boosts airport liability to ten million

Okaloosa County commissioners approve a new $27,086 contract with Southern Marine and Aviation Underwriters to raise liability coverage for Destin Airport, Okaloosa County Air Terminal, and Crestview Bob Sikes Airport from 300,000 to 10 million dollars effective Feb. 7. The plan also adds premises operations and non-ownership liability with automatic 1,000 medical payments up to 25,000 per incident, aimed at reducing large loss exposure as air activity grows.
