Carolers aboard the Florida Girl and the Lady Erenthia will sing from boats on a Christmas Eve cruise. The vessels depart Capt. Dave's Restaurant dock at 1 p.m. and return by 4 p.m. on Friday, December 24.
Fort Walton Beach High School Vikings band teams with McDonald’s to sell 50 cent tickets in December for a Sundae at local McDonald’s on Eglin Parkway or Mary Esther Cut-off. Proceeds benefit the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Trip Fund.
The Destin Elementary PTO will host a Christmas program and general meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. Mr. Carl Rathke will present a musical program for the season with participation from the fourth, fifth and seventh grades.
The artist renderings for the proposed Kelly Fine Arts Center are on display at radio station WMMK on Legion Drive. Viewers may visit Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to see the designs.

The Village Players of Destin announce auditions for You Cant Take It With You on Friday December 17 from 6 30 to 9 30 p m at the Destin Community Center. Additional casting follows Saturday and Sunday December 18 and 19 from 2 to 5 p m at the same site for 19 roles. Aimed at 12 males and seven females aged 21 to 80, under guest director Gary Anderson casting will span a range of eccentric characters in Kaufman Hart comedy.
Okaloosa County residents can see Cyril T. perform and ventriloquist Lou Zocchi in a family friendly magic show sponsored by the Fort Walton Beach Optimist Club to benefit youth activities. Tickets are $3 and go on sale at 6 p.m. the day of the event.
Okaloosa County Extension Service offers two Suede sewing classes in Crestview with Elaine Courtney as instructor.
