James Eugene Ellis 74 of Miramar Beach Florida died December 9 1983. Native of Griffin Georgia he lived in the area 28 years worked in institutional food and real estate tied to Rivard Realty. A Mason Shriner known as the Mayor of South Walton County he is survived by wife Katherine Ellis sons Gene Ellis Jr Emory Ellis daughter-in-law Janice Ellis and siblings Louise Grace Paul Walter and Grace. Cremation and private services planned. McLaughlin Mortuary handled arrangements.
